作品”和光同塵”(Summer Flowers • Autumn Leaves)的啟發是源自泰戈爾〈漂鳥集〉中的詠嘆:「生如夏花之絢爛,死如秋葉之靜美。」Let life be beautiful like summer flowers and death like autumn leaves. 當時寫下的創作理念:每個生命都有自己的紋理,時而秀麗光彩,時而內斂寂靜。在時空的映照下,內心調柔和諧的願力,隨著光的洗錬化合為雋永的樣貌。生命成為一首長詩,人們徜徉在自己瑰麗的情調裡。
作為描述生命的本質,文中的”瑰麗”是一個如此美好的詩眼,腦海中質樸卻又華麗的作品畫面始終縈繞著。所謂侘寂,是品味歲月痕跡中短暫、無常而不完美的自然狀態。而奢華則是讚頌生命中豐盛、富饒和圓滿的極致。從”瑰麗” 的情境中,卻彷彿能看到作品的”絢爛”與”靜美”優雅而完美的融合。
創作與詮釋作品的過程,會成為創作者內在傾聽的歷程,同時也透過廣泛接納來自真實世界的反響,反覆端詳自己的深刻。作品或許能成為一面鏡子,讓每個人都看到屬於自己的”絢爛”與”靜美”。

The inspiration for the work “Summer Flowers • Autumn Leaves” comes from Tagore’s lament in The Stray Birds: “Life is as beautiful as summer flowers, death as serene as autumn leaves.” The creative concept at the time was: every life has its own texture, sometimes vibrant and radiant, sometimes restrained and quiet. Reflected in time and space, the gentle and harmonious will within, washed and transformed by light, becomes an enduring form. Life becomes a long poem, and people wander in their own magnificent moods.
As a description of the essence of life, “magnificence” in the text is such a beautiful word, and the simple yet gorgeous image of the work lingers in my mind. Wabi-sabi is about appreciating the fleeting, impermanent, and imperfect natural state amidst the traces of time. Luxury, on the other hand, is a celebration of the ultimate abundance, richness, and fulfillment in life. From the context of “magnificence,” one can almost see the elegant and perfect fusion of the work’s “splendidness” and “serene beauty.”
The process of creating and interpreting a work becomes a journey of inner listening for the creator, while also allowing them to repeatedly examine their own depths through the broad acceptance of feedback from the real world. A work can perhaps serve as a mirror, allowing everyone to see their own “brilliance” and “serene beauty.”
