創作的意義 The Meaning of Creation
創作是探求真實與美好的感動，其實活著本身也是。“吃飯的時候吃飯，睡覺的時候睡覺”，有人覺得享受當下真如自在；也有人覺得千頭萬緒“常空坐忘”最是豁達。但只要是發表面世的創作，就得在可理解的認知調頻上進行溝通，以完整作品實現公眾共嗚的價值。 如果公眾辨識系統的基本要求是：人們對於真實和美感認知的“最大公因數”。那麼，創作得在這個基礎上去定義：什麼是真實(形上/形下)？並且戮力周旋於：誰說了算(大我/小我)？和憑什麼(微觀主場/宏觀客埸)？之間。於是，公眾會指望夸父追日的神武畫面，以牽動沈潛的想像。然而，燃燒熾烈熱情去追逐的前行者，在享受追逐的過程中，早已盡興收下美好的畫面。 美好的感動。很個人，也很嶲永，是到盡頭還能念念不忘的事。但說到底，即便故事轟轟烈烈、入木三分，重點始終仍是：只有經歷過，才能成為自己的。 Creation is the pursuit of truth and beauty, and so is life itself. “Eat when you eat, sleep when you sleep.” Some people feel that enjoying the moment is really comfortable; others feel that “sitting around and forgetting” with thousands of things is the most open-minded. 作品是人生的縮影 Art is the epitome of life
記憶：有時候闔上眼，會想起北美夏季在廣袤大地吹過原野的風。而冬天掠過安大略冰冷湖面時，那風雪彷彿能將整個世界都渲染得灰濛濛。還有上學途經那條長長的黑森林路，曾經短暫邂逅的馴鹿和狐狸晶亮的眼睛，留下生動的時空經驗。 故事：淡水河口的夜色最是寂靜。記憶中，八里渡船頭上朦朧的路燈，總是孤冷地映照潮來潮往的浪花，潮汐撫慰著呢喃的人生絮語，也洗鍊著百無聊賴的多愁。河水已到了出海口，但人們還飄浮在微醺中等待海上的晨曦。 印象：第一次到西湖，很享受波光瀲灩的湖光山色，還有隨風搖曳的扶疏楊柳。没課的時候，就愛坐在湖邊想像當年趙無極和吳冠中看到的畫面。人們總傳頌著白蛇傳、蘇小小、蘇東坡、岳飛、弘一法師的古今軼事，就像湖面上氤氳的海市蜃樓。而多年後的我，還是懷念“非誠勿擾1”所瞥見那個我印象中的西湖。 總覺得生活中深刻的感動，都會成為對生命的一種認識。創作者能夠透過熟稔的詮釋方式，來與人們分享這種體驗，從而圓滿自己的本心(self-celebration)。也因此這些記憶、故事、印象，應該都會出現在作品裡，以各種化身來敍說。 Memory: Sometimes when I close my eyes, I think of the wind blowing across the vast wilderness in North America in summer. 雲湧龜山 Emerging
作品創意以蘭陽故事中的噶瑪蘭公主傳說為源起。以象徵噶瑪蘭公主思念情人而生起的雲雨，來作為雕塑作品的本體意象。而海面上敦厚穩重的龜山島，雖單純簡潔卻又清明如鏡。總是以澄澈的心境，如實相映著公主如朵朵雲湧的思念。 雲朵是一種心思的象徵，在時空中如影隨形的汩汩湧現。心思的形狀會幻化遞嬗，思緒也會伴隨著不斷湧現蔓延。但我們的本心其實是一面澄澈的鏡子，純真而剛毅，總是如實地映照著我們輕盈飄忽的思緒。如果我們能仔細端詳著如綿密雲湧的當下思緒，驀然回首或許會發現，那溫柔而安詳、潔淨卻厚實如山的本心，始終如如不動在那裡。 The creative idea of the work originated from the legend of Princess Kavalan in the Lanyang story. 雲、水、風和光是大自然最具生命力的象徵。悠遊山海的風；翻雲覆雨的雲和水，或者穿透雲際的曙光，在人們印象中總是充滿源源不絕的能量，真實卻又充滿戲劇性的在時空中自由幻化，輕盈地承載著人們種種心思與想像。 大自然的生命力往往是人們寄寓詩情的對象，也彷彿是人們心中珍藏的一道光亮出口。就某方面而言，這樣的寄託與期望，其實也是我們感受到美好與幸福真實存在的證明。透過這些日常生活中所感受到的美好能量，不僅滋養我們內在生命的呼吸，也給予我們生活中愜意的確幸感。大自然的美好，那關於美的想像與期待，也就如同雲水風光般沐浴著我們嚮往自在優游的性靈。 《雲水風光 -關於生命力的想像》以抽象的生命印象為主題，精選施承澤新近的6件現代抽象雕塑展出。以大自然的山光水色，以充滿想像與戲劇張力的手法，賦予這些能量嶄新的現代性格與風貌。企圖從當代的形色美學表現，以及現代詩情的想像，來闡述一種輕盈亮麗、簡潔明朗的生命情調。 秋刀魚藝術中心-實驗空間台北市中山區基湖路137號September 7-21, 1:00-7:00 PM (館休週日、一) Clouds, water, wind and light are the most vital symbols of nature. 藝術創作與論述 Art Creation and Artist Statement
以創作者的立場來說，我覺得作品的論述是從作品的生成過程中“長”出來的。也就是由一個概念，透過藝術實踐的過程，而逐漸焠鍊成一種像信念的“東西”。這個東西的形與質，甚或其象徵意涵，是一種足以論斷藝術家立足於世的創造性價值及貢獻。 因為藝術實踐所具備的實證能力，其熟成的創作脈絡會成為一種普世邏輯，在社會意識的知面上，成為立竿見影的刺點而為世人啟發。也因此，藝術家義無返顧的責任與義務，應如分離派（1897）所揭櫫：給予時代相對的藝術，給予藝術相對的自由。 From the perspective of the creator, I feel that the narrative of the work “grows” out of the creation process of the work. 雕塑學科的當代面向思考 The Subject of Sculpture in Contemporary Art
求學時期曾待過美術和工藝學院，前者奠基人文識見和原創方法；後者培養在藝術理念和實踐方法上劍及履及。進入產業界磨練後，走著走著，卻發現實際詮釋和溝通方式，有許多細節其實更接近設計學院的專業。 雕塑在當代所涉及的範疇甚廣，小到珠寶設計；大到建築景觀等等，各種尺度和規模的造形。如果没有材料和技術上的框限，就造形研究的美學和趣旨而言，在概念上其實都是一樣的事。而或許，這也就是當代“智慧製造”所能放大、賦能雕塑創作者的時代助力。事實上，雕塑作為一門當代藝術的專業形式，在適應產業運作變化的同時，也逐漸從可見的形色美學價值，演化到兼容人本、社會的公共性；景觀、建築的空間整合，以及製造、商業營運的串流等跨學科的運作思維，彷若牽涉軟硬生態的多元整合。 回想起2015年，自中國美術學院畢業的時候，當時的雕塑系還在造形藝術學院裡。2017年後，雕塑系轄下的第5工作室獨立出來成為纖維藝術系（杭州有纖維藝術3年展），並與雕塑系及公共空間藝術系，合建為“雕塑與公共藝術學院”（原造形藝術學院已分拆）。隨後，廣州及湖北美院也建制相同的學院體系。 當代藝術往往會隨著產業環境的變化，而展現應對的風貌。特別是學院教育端的編制變化，可以見微知著當代產業狀態的演變實況。或許，智慧製造這門課題，也將像百年前的攝影術，同樣會帶給人們對於當代既定認知的反思及重新理解。 Looking back at my school days, I attended the School of Fine Arts and the School of Arts and Crafts.
