創作的意志 Jump before Think
也不是說要魯莽的先斬後奏，但若不笨拙的跨出第一步，一切都只會是美麗的空想。 人們說“胸有成竹，而後畫竹”，意思是運籌帷幄、面面俱到後會有完美的成果。但一般現實狀況，通常都是在犯錯的嘗試中，不斷修正來趨近理想。所謂“栩栩如生”、“震懾人心”，或許也正是創作者所展現這種“趨近”的欲望及精神能量。“畫虎不成反類犬”也好；“畫蛇添足”也罷，反正錯過的路口，在畫面上繞一下總會到，意志的時空中不存在絕對的判準。 創作既是意志的表現，也是思想具體存在的依據。最終的創作實體是思想的具體表徵，但一開始的意志卻通常是以火星的狀態出現，莫名的時候出現。彷彿遲了一秒，激情就會散了不等人。而若起心動念，念頭就下到思考、評判的思維層次，感情上一般都涼了大半。不是不感動了，只是怕了，怕犯錯、怕失誤，懷疑紙上的色塊、眼前的形體不夠體面、鮮活，最終在第二、第三選項中迷失了味覺。 “Jump before think”。因為人心和尺度都在浮動，也因為這個世界終究不存在完美的樣子，我們只能在趨近的過程中，享受追求完美的興致。乘興而為：立竿見影的唐突，或許還能突破困境、打開厚重的穹蒼；難收的傾盆覆水，也或許能造就另一番波瀾壯濶的風光。 所以，動起來吧！就像騎單車那樣，只要一踏上揮灑的征途，所有的問題和顧慮，都將在行進的動態間完美平衡。 It doesn’t mean that you should be reckless and act first, but if you don’t take the first step clumsily, everything will just be a beautiful fantasy. 創作的意義 The Meaning of Creation
創作是探求真實與美好的感動，其實活著本身也是。“吃飯的時候吃飯，睡覺的時候睡覺”，有人覺得享受當下真如自在；也有人覺得千頭萬緒“常空坐忘”最是豁達。但只要是發表面世的創作，就得在可理解的認知調頻上進行溝通，以完整作品實現公眾共嗚的價值。 如果公眾辨識系統的基本要求是：人們對於真實和美感認知的“最大公因數”。那麼，創作得在這個基礎上去定義：什麼是真實(形上/形下)？並且戮力周旋於：誰說了算(大我/小我)？和憑什麼(微觀主場/宏觀客埸)？之間。於是，公眾會指望夸父追日的神武畫面，以牽動沈潛的想像。然而，燃燒熾烈熱情去追逐的前行者，在享受追逐的過程中，早已盡興收下美好的畫面。 美好的感動。很個人，也很嶲永，是到盡頭還能念念不忘的事。但說到底，即便故事轟轟烈烈、入木三分，重點始終仍是：只有經歷過，才能成為自己的。 Creation is the pursuit of truth and beauty, and so is life itself. “Eat when you eat, sleep when you sleep.” Some people feel that enjoying the moment is really comfortable; others feel that “sitting around and forgetting” with thousands of things is the most open-minded. 小金魚 Little Goldfish

脈絡與原創 Context and Original
村上春樹對於“原創性”曾提出3項特質： 1. 辨識- 獨特的風格 2. 進化- 持續的精進 3. 系統- 豐富的脈絡 一般的創作過程，總是透過一次次的嘗試和修正，去釐清事物的本質、發掘思路的邏輯、窮盡語言的準確，以逐步逼近課題的核心。而隨著創作質量到達一定的水平，再轉身回顧那蓽路藍縷的來時路，大致都能看見一道道隱約的脈絡。在持續動態的藝術實踐中，思維逐漸清晰的同時，創作脈絡也會跟著明確下來。 研究所的論文裡曾放了一張作品的“族譜 family tree”。那是將當時2年來攻讀MFA的41件作品，依照特徵和主題作的梳理和歸類。看見有趣的事是，原來生活中自己所關注的內容是什麼，以及過程中逐漸抽絲剝繭的脈絡。 有幾條創作脈絡確實會綿延十幾二十年，就好像生活本身的有機狀態，人總是在顛簸與滾動中，試著說想說的話；試著做想做的事。過程中你可能無法準確的斷捨離，當然也就不需急於當下定義所有。只要隨著歲月的洗鍊和形意的熟成，或許走在這樣一座森林的路上，因著一路上藝術實踐的積累與信心，總能讓我們知道那道晨光就在不遠處。 Haruki Murakami once proposed three characteristics for “originality”: 1.
