  • 創作的意義  The Meaning of Creation

    創作是探求真實與美好的感動，其實活著本身也是。“吃飯的時候吃飯，睡覺的時候睡覺”，有人覺得享受當下真如自在；也有人覺得千頭萬緒“常空坐忘”最是豁達。但只要是發表面世的創作，就得在可理解的認知調頻上進行溝通，以完整作品實現公眾共嗚的價值。 如果公眾辨識系統的基本要求是：人們對於真實和美感認知的“最大公因數”。那麼，創作得在這個基礎上去定義：什麼是真實(形上/形下)？並且戮力周旋於：誰說了算(大我/小我)？和憑什麼(微觀主場/宏觀客埸)？之間。於是，公眾會指望夸父追日的神武畫面，以牽動沈潛的想像。然而，燃燒熾烈熱情去追逐的前行者，在享受追逐的過程中，早已盡興收下美好的畫面。 美好的感動。很個人，也很嶲永，是到盡頭還能念念不忘的事。但說到底，即便故事轟轟烈烈、入木三分，重點始終仍是：只有經歷過，才能成為自己的。 Creation is the pursuit of truth and beauty, and so is life itself. “Eat when you eat, sleep when you sleep.” Some people feel that enjoying the moment is really comfortable; others feel that “sitting around and forgetting” with thousands of things is the most open-minded.   • 日出洄瀾 Dawn at Sea

    湛藍海面上，輕輕湧現的黎明；滔天洄瀾裡，重重洗鍊的珍珠。 順著湛藍色海風捲起的浪濤，金色黎明輕盈浮現在海面上。美麗的晨光普照千頃波浪，演映浮華浪漫之境。 滔天的巨浪波瀾壯濶，狂放不覊的潮流蜿蜒疊嶂。在萬千洄瀾的海浪中，層層洗鍊出一顆明亮耀眼的珍珠。 前些日子在看葛飾北齋(1760-1849)的電影。畫面中的浪濤，在没有地平線的世界，格外具有張力和能量。好比浮華世界裡的萬千憧憬，也彰顯著藝術家一生懸命去探求的渴望。作品重構“富嶽三十六景-神奈川沖浪裡”的劇場感，並應用個人鍾愛的新藝術(Art Nouveau, 1880-1910)風格，以纖細敏銳的流動性、抒情語法，來演繹一個激情華麗的、張力延續的概念空間：在浪花和灣流壯麗交織的世界，揮灑一幅流暢的、感性的浮華風景；也是心境裡，一道唯美的、永恆的光。 Above the blue sea, gently emerging dawn;In the monstrous whirling waters, reveal layers of refined pearls.     海邊的岩石，總是承載著大自然時間與空間變化的記憶。它就像空白筆記本一樣，忠實的記錄下每一道海風、浪花和陽光來去的痕跡。隨著造化歷練愈多、時間積累愈久，岩石在被抹去稜角後，反而變得愈益光滑圓潤、簡單明朗。細細品味這個由時空所形塑的記憶量體，純粹的即興光影幻化，以及充滿弦外之音的想像空間，彷彿經歷一場通透空無、極緻簡約的造化之旅。 簡單是複雜的極緻表現。 達文西 The rocks by the sea always carry the memory of the time and space changes of nature.   • 鄉愁的抽象 Abstraction of Nostalgia

    雕塑是透過色彩、造形、肌理的視覺手法，來演繹光影、節奏與量體的美感。雕塑創作者所執取能觸動人心的質素，其實好比溫度、氣味那樣抽象，卻富含深邃的穿透力道。這直指人心的靈光，讓人在共鳴中入戲的美學感通，也或許就像鄉愁一般，在睹物思情的掛念，與近鄉情怯的期待中具體化現。 海風、山嵐、晨曦、霞光，除了形與色，還有溫度的記憶在。炊煙、熱湯、木桌、陶杯，氣味的迴響是鄉愁漸層的色調。在人們日常的美感經驗中，伴隨觸覺所惦記的溫度與氣味記憶，經常成為重溫舊夢旅程的一種引信。而雕塑創作所涉入的工作，就是在這琳瑯滿目的美好時空中，以合宜的方式、真切的情感，來「凝」記下種種美麗的臨在。 作為一名雕塑創作者，喜歡在細微時光中以感性的觀察來體驗生活的滋味，也喜歡在詩境般的想像空間中，遊戲造形變化萬千的的況味。創作本身也就是分享生活中的各種心境與故事。 Abstraction of Nostalgia– Artist Statement by Jason Shih Sculpture is to interpret the beauty of light and shadow, rhythm and volume through the visual techniques of color, shape and texture.
