蘭，是中國文人經常寓意寄託的典型。除了在象徵性和意象借喻外，在文人精神意涵或文化層面的意義上，蘭或許已經標誌化為一種崇高品格或優雅心性的指引。

但我的蘭，是長這樣子的。那是小時候的印象中，外公細心照顧的尊貴花種。但除了花期之外，大部份的時間彷彿都是沈睡的狀態。因此，所有蘭所蘊含的姿態和表情，都抽象在葉子上。

Orchid is often an example of Chinese literati’s allegorical sustenance. In addition to symbolism and image metaphors, Orchid may have been described as a guide to a noble character or an elegant mind in the sense of literati’s spiritual or cultural connotation.

But my Orchid looks like this. It was the noble flower that my grandfather planted carefully in my childhood. But except for the flowering period, most of the time seems to be in a state of deep sleep. Therefore, all the gestures and expressions contained in the orchid are formed as abstracted on the leaves.
